Myrrh Incense Sticks - Box of 40

Myrrh in stick form is uncommon - the resin's chemistry doesn't readily hold a stick shape on its own, and most workshops avoid it. The Stupa workshop combines ground Commiphora myrrha with halmaddi and a small fraction of Himalayan cedar; the cedar adds structural integrity to the stick, the halmaddi extends the burn, and the myrrh dominates the aromatic profile. The result is the bitter-balsamic register the resin produces on charcoal, in a format that doesn't require a charcoal disc.

1. Hold the tip to a flame until it catches (5–10 seconds).
2. Blow the flame out so the stick smoulders.
3. Place in an incense holder on a heat-safe surface.
4. The citric opening arrives in the first minute; the resinous warmth develops across the burn.
5. Allow ash to cool fully before clearing.

Burns approximately 15–20 minutes per stick.

Myrrh resin doesn't form a stable stick on its own - its chemistry is too dense, too low in the volatile fractions that help bind a workable paste. Most workshops won't attempt myrrh in stick form. The Stupa workshop's approach uses Himalayan cedar as a structural binder alongside halmaddi: the cedar provides the woody scaffold, the halmaddi provides the workable paste, and the myrrh dominates the aromatic release. A combination that took the workshop's family multiple generations to refine.
