A round incense holder carved from natural white soapstone, engraved with the Flower of Life - the six-fold overlapping-circle geometric pattern that appears in decorative-art traditions from Egyptian temple inscriptions to Roman mosaics, Islamic geometric design, and medieval European manuscript decoration. Smooth, lightly textured finish.

Soapstone is a talc-rich metamorphic rock, carved across many cultures for thousands of years for cooking vessels, sculpture, and decorative objects. The Flower of Life is one of the most fundamental geometric patterns in Euclidean tradition - the simplest way to tile a plane with equal-radius circles.

The disc carries a central recessed hole to hold a single incense stick; the engraving radiates outward.

Interior of the Maison Éthérique store: shelves of minerals along the walls and visitors at a long wooden table.

A contemporary house of ancient materials

Maison Éthérique brings together incense, aromatic resins, botanical bundles, crystals and the objects used with them. From our house in Dubai, we explore their aromas, stories and traditions - a collection for personal rituals, familiar favourites and gifts with meaning.

For the meaning it holds

A familiar aroma can become part of a daily ritual. A stone can be kept as a symbol of protection; a botanical chosen for a practice of purification. Across the collection, scent, beauty and personal meaning offer different reasons to choose.
