The tablets themselves are identical to those in the single-roll format.

1. Hold a charcoal tablet at its edge with tongs.
2. Light an edge with a flame; the saltpetre catches.
3. Place the tablet in a heat-safe burner.
4. Wait 30–45 seconds until the edges glow grey-white.
5. Place a small piece of resin on the warm surface.
6. Burns approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
7. Allow the spent tablet to cool fully before disposal.

Always use in a heat-safe burner. Store unused rolls in their original packaging within the sealed box - keeping the saltpetre-treated tablets dry preserves their quick-light reliability over time. Tablets stored in humid conditions can absorb moisture and become slower to ignite.
